- 46th Annual General Meeting Review
Cotton Seed Distributors Ltd (CSD) held its 46th Annual General Meeting of Members at the company’s offices in Wee Waa on the 15th May 2012. The meeting was well attended by a strong cross section of CSD Members and cotton industry participants.
- 2012 CSD Information Tour
Cotton Seed Distributors are once again embarking on there comprehensive information tour which is schedule over a 2 week period in mid June and stretches from Dalby, QLD to far south Griffith, NSW.
- Joanne Grainger appointed to the Board of CSD
Cotton Seed Distributors Ltd (CSD) has announced the appointment of Mrs Joanne Grainger (pictured) to the company’s Board of Directors. The appointment follows the recent retirement of John Grellman who stood down from the CSD Board after 37 years of dedicated service to CSD. Mrs Grainger will seek re-election by the Members of CSD at its 2012 Annual General Meeting in May.
- CSD Cotton Variety Trials Farm Walks Darling Downs
In late March, CSD will be holding a series of Trial Farm Walks in the Darling Downs region.
- Edgeroi/Bellata/Gurley Dryland Cotton Crop Tour
The afternoon will include an inspection of several crops and trials throughout the district. It will provide an opportunity to discuss all aspects of dryland cotton production with other growers, and agronomists.
- Cotton Grower of the Year Field Day is Back On
After the recent record floods and extreme wet weather, a new date has been set for the Monsanto Cotton Grower of the Year Field Day to be held again on Friday the 16th of March, 2012 starting at 9am (Qld Time), with this year’s prestigious award going to Ed Willis and the team at Bullamon Plains Pastoral Company in Thallon, Queensland.
- 2012 Cotton Grower of the Year Field Day Postponed Due to Wet Weather & Flooding
Due to the recent wet weather and flooding throughout the region, the Cotton Grower of the Year Field Day at Bullamon Plains in Thallon has had to be postponed to a later date. A future date has not yet been decided, though it is hoped that it can be re-scheduled for Early-Mid March 2012. We will attempt to notify as many people as possible but if you could please pass the word on, it would be much appreciated.
