While many dryland cotton producers have used skip row cotton as a yield, fibre quality, cost and soil moisture risk management tool for a number of years, it is only recently that the practice has been adopted by irrigators. Within this production system there is a myriad of combinations of differing row configurations and levels of irrigation water availability. However, the overall aim is to produce the most cotton per ML of water available/applied.
