Update for Wednesday 31st January, 2007

Total rainfall of 50mm approx since planting has resulted in significant differences in plant growth habit between the different row spacing treatments. NAWF currently ranges from 4.4 for solid plant, 4.8 for single skip, 6.0 for double skip, and 7.0 for 80in single, super single and '2 in 8'. The single skip and super single are being plant mapped in detail, and these are showing first position retentions approximating 90%. The single skip has stopped growing and is on the point of starting to shed fruit, whereas the super single is still progressing well.
